About Me

My name is Kristin King, PT, DPT, CMTPT, CPT

Let me start by telling you why I decided to start this business.

I have been a Physical Therapist for 10+ years. I specialize in trigger point dry needling, low back and cervical spine rehabilitation, pelvic health, pre and post natal therapy and orthopedic surgeries. I have treated a variety of orthopedic injuries but I also have experience with neuro and gait analysis for return to running and sports related activities.

I have been an athlete all my life and ran D1 track in college. Once I graduated with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013, I started training for body building and competed in several Chicago competitions before switching to long distance running and completing two Chicago Marathons.

After several years as a therapist, I realized I was helping people, but not in the way I wanted to help them. I saw how busy it was in a regular out patient clinic and I never had enough time to spend one on one with my patients. My love for athletics and my passion for helping others lead me to start my own practice.

I started studying nutrition, health and wellness, and personal training and decided to get my certifications in these areas so I could help people more holistically.

The purpose of my business is to help busy active people and mom's who can't leave their homes to get therapy because they have no one to watch their kids. To help people who are in pain or who need help getting stronger but don't have time to get to a gym and want to work with someone who knows what to do if their client sustains an injury working out or has past injuries they are trying to work around.

My pledge to you is to give personalized attention to your individual plan and goals, to guide you in your healing, life style changes and healthy living, listen to your needs so I can take care of you, encourage you, and impower you to get you back to taking care of what's most important to you and your family.

My sessions consist of but are not limited to, massage, stretching, spinal alignment, if needed, muscle energy techniques, strength, mobility, and stability exercises, as well as education on how to complete these exercises at home. Most sessions last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes and additional techniques are available and listed in services section of this webpage. I will bring my own table and equipment and payment is due at the time of service. I also offer training and nutrition coaching at a local private gym with no extra fee if you would prefer not to work in your home.

Client Stories

“I was a mess my sophomore year while trying to figure out why I was having pain in my hips a year after I had stopped strenuous activity and catching in softball. I went to work with Kristin. We tried different exercises, before she came to the conclusion that I had a bilateral hip labrum tears. After this Kristin set me up with the best doctor I’ve ever seen and I started my progression with my new lifestyle. She made sure I had everything I needed throughout the entire process and never let me doubt myself for a minute. I always knew I had someone who would listen and do whatever they needed to help me. I’m grateful for meeting Kristin and helping me throughout my surgery because without her I don’t think I would be as well off as I am now.”
